A report on the testing of a newly developed infrared heating
The nationwide search for affordable solutions to save energy and CO ² reduction in single-and multi-family housing construction, new and old buildings, the cluster of renewable energy and energy saving of the city of Leipzig to the infrared heating of the Company CarboTherm attention.
As part of an energy consulting a customer expressed his ideas for the heating in the house as follows:
living
heating
geothermal brine-water heat pump with a geothermal heat collector in combination with irrigation through the roof water
cooling
geothermal brine-water heat pump with a geothermal heat collector in combination with irrigation through the roof water
kitchen / bathroom / bedroom / nursery
heating
No permanent heating
hot water
with an air pump
Comprehensive Energy consulting and research in new construction and Altbaubauwohnungen in single-family homes have shown that usually only the living room if necessary even the bath heated is.
in mass housing with Einrohrheizungsanlagen can be due to differences in habits and avoid the situation in the House and the thermal heating theft deviations in magnitude not always. Initial attempts to reduce
, the radiators in the living room with the largest load factor by about 50% of their output and for the reduced heat output to install an electric floor heating, put at about 3,000, - € / per year heating cost savings of about 1400 , - € / a.
The electric storage heating will in future be replaced because of their unfavorable primary energy factor.
incidence of structural damage with mold and water damage, requiring optimal targeted drying.
was behind this background Infrarotheizplatte Company CarboTherm of white fiberglass
measured using the following characteristics of a conventional gas-two-pipe heating system in a practical heating at temperatures around 0 ° C and compared:
heat conductor: Carbonvlies
Insulation: Glass fiber and mineral substances
Connections: conductive foil
Dimensions: 1030 x 630 mm
Specific output: 800 watts
surface temperature: 85 ° C
voltage: 400-400 V AC or DC
control and regulation: Plug-room thermostat
radiation content of 90%
trial:
Conventional heating (natural gas-two-pipe heating), construction of apartment blocks, built in 1994, WSVO 95 (see Figure 1)

The experiment was carried out in the living room with 29.2 square meters and a heat demand of 2044 W.
as heating surfaces are 2 pieces with dimensions of convectors 133x1400x140 mm with a heat output at 70/55 ° C of 2 x 1229 = 2458 Watts.
a heating surface costs as much as a Infrarotheizplatte 1030 x630 mm.
According to the company CarboTherm is on an area of 25 - required element - 35 ° C a 800 watt.
The results are shown in Table 1 and Chart 1:

Score:
The thermostatic valves were at position 3 made and kept.
It is clearly seen that:
Ø follows with the outside temperature, the flow temperature,
Ø the room temperature by the thermostatic valves very well be on the average temperature between 20 to 21 ° C held
Ø the wall temperatures to a Level close to room temperature.
Ø In 24 hours 19 kWh were consumed.
Ø The cost is according to the last heating bill at 0.14 € / kWh = 2.65 Euro/24
h. The average outdoor temperature was 5.18 ° C. At this external temperature is approximately 1.13 kW of heat required (Fig. 3) with a flow temperature at 70/50 ° C from 49 ° C. The heating curve was higher.

infrared radiation heating of the company Carotherm
The experiment was carried out in the living room with 29.2 square meters and a heat demand of 2044 W.
According to the company CarboTherm is on a space of 25 - 35 ° C a 800 Watt - required element.
The results are shown in Table 2 and Chart 2:

related outdoor temperature / Raumtemperatur/Vor- and return temperature / wall temperature radiant heating
Score:
The diameter is significantly recognize that: Ø There
almost two hours, take before the room temperature reaches 20 ° C,
Ø The wall temperatures were raised also by this time to a level close to room temperature.
Ø In 24 hours, 14.4 kWh were consumed.
Ø The cost is according to the last current cost accounting 0.23 € / kWh = 3.31 h. Euro/18
Ø The radiant panel surface temperatures reached in the range 40 to 86 ° C.
Ø The average outdoor temperature was 4.02 ° C. Ø
statements to the heat demand has been made in the first attempt. Our impression is that for this loading case are simply a jet drive. For the design case at -14 ° C for at least two radiant panels are necessary.
is any advantage in our view, an arrangement on the ceiling in combination with the lighting.
A creative arrangement of use of CarboTherm-ray plate shows the Figure 4
